I have something exciting to share with you! I really can’t wait to get this going- I think it’s going to be a lot of fun and I hope that you will join in!
I have been trying to think of ways to get YOU, my dear friends and readers, involved in my e-magazine. If you’ve been reading my blog for a little while, you know that I LOVE putting together my e-mag- it’s a lot of work, but it’s also so much fun. I love coming up with ideas and then putting them all together, making the projects and recipes, laying out the pages… the entire process is creative and challenging and that’s why I enjoy it so much. ( You can see previous issues here. )
Anyway… one of my favorite things in the magazine has been my relatively new feature, the designer/artist interviews. I was thinking, wouldn’t it be fun if I could feature everyone- because you get a little glimpse of my life through my blog, but I would love to get a little glimpse into yours. So here is what we’re going to do…
Send me a photo of your Favorite Thing About Summer. It can be your favorite place, food, your kids or grandkids taking part in their favorite pastime, a favorite family vacation photo- whatever! Whatever brings “summer” to mind for you.
You can see some sample photos on this page- for me, summer means having my feet in the sand, visiting farmer’s markets, and enjoying my garden. For my daughter, it is having barbecues and hanging out with her friends. My daughter’s friend, Rachel, clowning around!
And – there will be a prize – because that just makes it all the more fun! My esteemed panel of judges and I (aka me and my daughters!) will choose our favorite photo. Domestic and international entries are eligible! The prize will be a bundle of digital books and patterns. (Yay! Summer stitching and crafting fun!)
Your photos don’t have to be super-artsy or professional! Just show me your idea of Summer!
Just a few guidelines:
There are several ways to submit your photo:
