When is your favorite season for sewing? For me, it is definitely when the weather turns cooler… it just feels cozy and perfect for being in the house. I like to imagine myself in a sisterhood with women who came before me… A couple of hundred years ago when we lived more seasonally, warm long days meant working outside and preparing food for the upcoming winter. But the shorter, cooler days signaled the time for hunkering down and spending more time indoors, doing activities like sewing. And yes, I like to sometimes imagine myself as one of the Ingalls, out on the prairie!! Of course, Ma and Mary and Laura didn’t have cable TV to keep them company while they stitched!!
So let’s get to stitching!!

Wonderful ideas! Happy fall.
I am wondering what the name of the quilt that`s behind the acorn pillow and where I could get this pattern. Thankyou.
Hi Clare. I asked Jacquelynne about the quilt. That is a quilt that she made several years ago, when she first started quilting, and she never made a pattern for it. Have a great day!

Hi Clare, if you turn the image slightly to the left, the quilt looks like rows of squares rotating with half square triangles, on point. You could easily do this! Then it looks like the next row is a mini 9 patch rotating with the half square triangles.
So if you do the 9 patch, figure out what size you want that to be, and then make HST, and the squares to match that size. Then just sew the rows together on the diagonal (on point). You can look all of these things up on YouTube!
Thanks.Happy fall.
