It’s ALMOST here! Next week, we will begin sign ups for the 2016 Free Block of the Month!! The first pattern will be sent out in the beginning of June.

Today I thought I would “debut” the quilt that we will be working on, and introduce you to our sponsors.

Introducing, our 2016 Block of the Month:

Here is the quilt. It finishes at about 53″ square:

I just got my quilt back from my longarm quilter, and it’s soooo pretty!

Once again, the patterns will have options for piecing only, applique, or embroidery. We will start the Sew Along in June. And yes, we will have fabric kits available for this pattern! We will be announcing those soon!

The name of this BOM is Maggie’s First Dance. The colors kind of remind me of a vintage farmhouse, maybe somewhere with a big old red barn, perfect for holding square dances. I imagined my grandmother, named Margaret, going to these dances with her sisters and her “beau”- of course, that would be my grandfather!

We will be having FABULOUS prizes this year! Here are our sponsors- please visit their websites and see all the quilt-y and sewing goodness that they have to offer!
