We’ve just released our latest pattern collection for The Art of Home Club, called Bushels of Sunshine! With it, we’ll be making a quilt and a wall hanging, plus a watermelon themed pin cushion!

There are 5 applique and hand embroidery patterns, each with a different flower, container, and fruit.

We are also making a watermelon pin cushion (because you can NEVER have too many pin cushions!!) For the seeds, you can embroider them, paint them on, or use small black buttons.

Another way you can use the pin cushions is to make a set of 4-6 and fill them with something heavy like sand or crushed walnut shells, and use them to weigh down your outdoor tablecloth on breezy days! I love that idea!!!

Let’s talk color palette! For the quilt I selected yellow and blue, but for the wall hanging, I decided to do “redwork” for the *hand embroidery. I thought that blues would go nicely with the red, so that’s how I made my sample. I think it has a nice, summery, “Americana” feel to it! You only need 3 fabric colors (in addition to white) for the quilt and wall hanging projects, so it’s easy to come up with a palette that will suit your mood and décor!

These projects are EXCLUSIVE to The Art of Home Club, meaning that you won’t find them in stores or anywhere else on the internet. Only members of The Art of Home Club can get these adorable designs!!

We only open up The Art of Home Club to new members a few times per year- click here to find out more and to get on our “waiting list,” so you’ll be the first to know when we open enrollment again!
