The kids are back in school, so that means there is more time for sewing and creative fun, right? Or maybe you find that you have less time during the school year, and that your schedule just seems to get busier… Or maybe your kids have flown the nest, and it doesn’t really affect your schedule (that’s where I am, and it’s weird. After 20+ years of living by the school calendar, suddenly it doesn’t matter anymore. I saw a school bus the other day, and realized that I had absolutely no idea exactly when the kids in my area had gone back to school… it made me a little sad…) Anyway, I thought I would gather up some quick project ideas for us! I have huge baskets full of fat quarter bundles, and I’m always using for cute ways to use them up. And remember the holidays are coming- all of these would be great little projects to get started on NOW for gift giving! Yes, we need some Fat Quarter Project Ideas :)
Here are some scrap and fat-quarter-stash-busting ideas for you:
Fabric covered notebook and journal
Patchwork Bird Ornament
Raw Edge Dresden Pillow
Quilted Potholder Tutorial
Pin Cushion in a Cup
Reversible Purse Tutorial
Striped Drawstring Bag
Pumpkin Hexagon Quilt
Checkered Backpack
So there you go- that should keep you busy for a while!
I love the pincushions, now I know what my crafty friends are getting for Yule.
Great idea, Terri! And now is a good time to start, rather than waiting til November and then scrambling to get them all done :)
Love your sight!!!
Love the pumpkin ?
