Today, we released Fond Friends, which is Collection #54 in The Art of Home Club! In this collection, we are celebrating friendship! We’ve got applique AND hand embroidery designs with 2 cute friends, shoes, coffee, tea, some “vino,” and a shopping bag! There are 7 designs in all- and they all reflect things that friends might enjoy doing together. There are even some printable gift tags! (What about a teapot quilt? So cute!)

We’ve got quite a few tote bag patterns in the Club- but I really love this one!! I found it so easy and fun to put together, and I love the finished design and shape. The table mat has many uses! It is a good size for a place mat, or a short runner for a credenza or buffet cabinet. Use the “vino” design to make a small topper for a wine cabinet. You could also use some Insul-Brite insulated batting and use it as a heat resistant mat under your hot tea pot or casserole dishes.

Finally- the mug rug and coasters are just quick and easy, and would make such a cute gift for one of your “fond friends!” Don’t forget to attach one of those printable tags. See in my photo below how I bundled up the coasters with some colorful twine and added the tag- too cute!

Finally, let’s talk palette. I was inspired by a fabric pile that happened to be sitting on a table in my sewing room and used reds, blues, and a touch of tan and pink. These projects will look good in any colors- choose yours (and your friends’) favorites! And I think it would be really fun to choose hair and skin tones to represent the favorite gals in your life!
