I love reading all your emails and your facebook postings. I adore applique (as you and I discussed a couple times) Like to embellish with some embroidery. Back in the 1960’s, I started out with crewel embroidery, then graduated to counted cross stitch in the 1970’s and 80’s and early 90’s. Love to do quilting, although with disabled spouse I don’t get as much time, but hand work is perfect to take along to doctor appt’s, therapy appt’s, etc.

I love applique but it’s time consuming with my current busy schedule with my husband and his dementia issues. Piecing is on my list up there at the top too and can be done a little faster. So that’s my pick. I do hand embroidery too but been working on one of those for about 6-7 years. Mainly do that at doctor’s offices while I wait or when I’m visiting at the hospital. I call it my “crying” or sad hobby.

I have always admired embroidery but have never had time to try much. I do love to hand applique, and to piece. I literally grew up in a craft store in the 70s and 80s! My mom was the only employee in a small town independently owned shop, so I was always there, even in playpen days! I remember packaging lots of beads and such, and later learning to hand piece and quilt as a teen in that shop. I bought the 4 inch centers for this project and I’m looking forward to these Happy Little Things!

I prefer piecing. Haven’t done any embroidery in too many years to count! And the only applique I’ve done”recently” were patches on my now-grown kids’ jeans. Maybe one of these daze I’ll get back to it…maybe.

I love piecing the best! It kind of depends where I am though, work, piecing, camping, embroidery! Just learning the appliqué!

Good Grief Jacqueline that’s a hard one and to tell the truth it depends on my mood which is why I have more than one projects going unless the project includes all 3, my favorite. It is a hard question but today I’ll say Applique. Final answer :) quiltyladyrr@gmail.com

What a cute and happy pattern. I enjoy piecing the most and applique is second. I joined this group, because my time is minimal, but I need the happiness that creating gives.

I would have to say appliqueing. My hands and needles never got along so I never got the passion for hand embroidering and I am not sure what piecing is however, I am planning on learning what that is in the very near future. The quilts that I have made in the past have been patchwork versions.

I love all of your quilts. Previously I have purchased your beautiful kits to sew along but have found postage way too expensive to australia and so now I have to buy locally. I love piecing with the embroidered or Applique method. Keep up the great work. I would love to win, but unfortunately it is not in my DNA as I have never won anything.

OH MY! I’m so interested in ALL of them, but I’ve always enjoyed embroidery. I so like the idea of making my own design to embroider; thank you for that gift along with everything you have given us readers. Your sponsors are so generous and I thank them too.

I love your creations. I prefer both hand embroidery and piecing. But piecing ihas become my favorite because of the nerve damage done to the pads on my fingertips. Holding a needle is sometimes difficult. I find doing both is very relaxing.

I do both applique and embroidery but i’m thinking of embroidery and then colouring with Inktense pencils. Have been experimenting lately and starting to like the results. Or maybe both and make each block both ways and make a larger quilt, as I did with the last block of the month.
