The black and White version of It’s a Wonderful Life. I watched that for the first time just 2 years ago, and I love it.

Here it is not Christmas without A Christmas Story- my husband LOVES this movie! (And yes he does have a life sized Major Award in the front room window, year round!) Following this classic is Elf for hubby. My favorite is Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and The Little Drummer Boy

The Christmas Story is definitely my favorite. That BB gun is such a temptation and I love hearing Gavin McGraw swearing away in the basement while trying to get the furnace to work. And who doesn’t love a pink bunny suit? It is a great story full of fun moments.

I love to watch my son and my husband watch Christmas Vacation. I am not crazy about the movie, but I enjoy watching the boys laugh hysterically. It has become a yearly tradition.

Well, I can’t have Christmas without Charlie Brown’s Christmas. I love all the Rankin Bass shows, and Rudolph and Frosty. I really like Veggie Tale’s Toy who Saved Christmas – I’ll watch it even tho the kids are grown. A Christmas Carol and It’s a Wonderful Life are great for reminding you of the reason for the season. For holiday stress relief, there’s nothing like A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation – both hilarious. Hmmm, I guess it would be easier to list the ones I don’t like!

We always watch “The Polar Express” on Christmas Eve and I love “A Muppet Christmas Carol”. I also remember watching “The Nutcracker” ballet every year with my grandma when I was little. That really made it feel like Christmas was nearly here.

My favorite Christmas movie depends on my mood at the time I sit down to watch TV. I love “White Christmas” and watched it this past weekend with my husband and youngest daughter over popcorn and chocolate. I also love all the cartoon Christmas shows that were released many moons ago when I was a child. DVDs of all of these are on my wish list this year.

I’m a big Jimmy Stewart fan so I say It’s A Wonderful Life. I had never seen it until my first year of marriage. My husband introduced me to it bc it was his favorite movie. I guess I never saw it bc my mom isn’t a Jimmy fan & you either love him or hate him. And I adore him!!!

I have three categories of favorite. My favorite Classic is “Holiday Inn”. My favorite made-for-tv is “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”. (Very cute.) And my favorite not-a-Christmas-movie-but-best-Christmas-scenes is “You’ve Got Mail”. I lost my parents at Christmastime and the scene in which Meg Ryan talks about missing her mom at Christmas is just so true.
Holiday Inn. Not sure if it qualifies as a Christmas movie, but I’ve always thought of it as such. I also really like The Santa Clause and the Maureen O’Hara version of Miracle on 34th Street.
