Today I wanted to share with you something that I’m really personally excited about. Those of you who have been following my blog and my work for awhile know that I love to create watercolor artwork. It is how I create all of my fabric lines: I draw and paint everything by hand, scan it, and then I get to “play” in Photoshop, laying out different repeat patterns and colorways. It’s so much fun- I love every step of the process!
And while it’s really wonderful seeing my artwork on fabric, I also love paper (always have, even when I was a child!) So…. what I’ve done, and I had so much fun with it, is that I’ve laid out some of my artwork into note card designs.

Wouldn’t these make a great gift for your quilty-sewing-artsy-craftsy friends???
I painted these pears a couple of years ago- and they remain among some of my favorite artwork ever. I couldn’t wait to get them on paper products:
And now, here is the really exciting part (well, I think so anyway, but I’m kind of a paper-nerd): You can also have many of my designs personalized! What a fabulous and thoughtful gift they will make!

I designed these especially for my daughter- some with her first name for personal use, and some with her “teacher” name for use in her classroom.
(Oh- and did you notice that they are bundled with a wrapper which can double as a “gift tag”?)
If you are shopping for teens, tweens, and young adults- feathers are really hot right now, so you may want to pick up some of these for the holidays (available with or without personalization. And by the way, personalization is always in style):
All of these designs and more are available in my ETSY shop through December 8- and they are on sale! Everything in my ETSY shop is 20% off!
So please stop by my ETSY shop and start checking off your Christmas list!
And now, for today’s entry for the Grand Prize Giveaway (remember- you can enter on each day’s post):

My best Christmas present was a little early; the gift of my first grandson on December 20th. Now he has gifted us with our first great grandson.❤
Hearing that my daughter was pregnant with our first grandchild, who is now 15!
There have been many magical, wonderful Chistmas(s). My favorite gift was a small blue vase – Dollar Store – selected by my nephew. I think he was 4-5.
Favorite was a gift basket full of homemade candies/cookies/jellies. Thanks
Hello Jacquelynne,
Oh how I wish I could draw like you.
The best Christmas present is having all the family together.
Happy days.
Bev.
As a child the present I remember the most is new clothes. One year I got all new clothes and pyjamas (normally I wore hand-me-downs). I think I wore the pyjamas for three years – they ended up being full of holes and shorts (they started out as long pants!)
Snowshoes!!
Your artwork is so lovely! I just love those quilty notecards. I think the camera I got at age 10 was the best gift ever. I begged for one all year and was so happy when Santa left it under the tree for me :) Thanks for another great day on your fun bloghop.
I received an early gift this year and am loving it… an IPAD from my children. Now I can sit in bed and follow my favorite blogs..
Happy Holidays to you and yours.
A queen size quilt for my bed. My sister said she didn’t have time to finish it. What a surprise to open a semi-small box from her and find my quilt in it on Christmas day!
My favorite Christmas gift was a wardrobe for my Barbie-like doll – my Mom made the entire wardrobe. Thanks.
The first year we were married my husband gave me a Kitchen Aid stand mixer for Christmas. Some people may think that’s not a good gift, but I had spent the weeks before Christmas making a huge number of Christmas cookies with a hand mixer so it was a wonderful gift for me! I still use that mixer nearly 27 years later.
A new sewing machine that I hadn’t expected at all. Love a true surprise!
Best gift was my husband sending me to visit my sister in FL! I had not been able to see her before that in three years. Thank you!
Years ago, when I needed a table to craft on, my husband bought me the best drop-leaf craft table that is the perfect height and size!
What beautiful work Jacquelynne!! My best gift was my daughter! She was born on the 20th and I didn’t get to go home with her until Christmas Eve….it was so neat!
Thanks for the tour and the giveaways. This Thanksgiving I sent out cards you designed that say “Be Ye Thankful” I love them! The best Christmas gift I received was from my sweet hubby. One year he surprised me and bought me a Bernina sewing machine. I was in total shock that he would pick that out for me! He is a keeper, for sure :-)
My favorite Christmas present was a tape recorder where my Father had recorded a special message for me. Wish I still had it so I could hear his voice again.
My favorite Christmas gift was a diamond ring and a proposal. That was almost 20 years ago still counting.
My best Christmas gift was a Lowry Organ when I was 14 years old. I still have my organ, though it doesn’t play as well anymore and parts are no longer available to fix it She was my baby for many, many years…
Thanks for the chance to win!
The best present ever was the year my husband gave me my embroidery machine. The gift that just keeps on giving.
My gosh, you’ve brought back lots of memories with this question. One of my favorites was a bathrobe from my godfather after his wife passed. I knew she had always done the shopping so the fact that he had still thought of me made me feel so very special.

The emerald and diamond earrings my husband gave me – the only earrings I can wear without my ears pitching a fit!
Jacquelynne, your artwork is so amazing. I wish I could draw like that.I love the cards with the little mice and the sewing things. They are all just gorgeous. The best gift that I received was when I was a child. My sister gave me a doll that you could wind up and it would walk. I kept it for years until way after I was married. Thank you for the great giveaway.
Love the cards!! You are amazingly talented!!
oops forgot my favourite gift….I’m sappy, just being with my family….because you forget everything else. Now if Santa wants to put a Mini Cooper under my tree I will definitely remember that!! lol
Those cards are beautiful, absolutely beautiful! I’m headed to your etsy shop now! My favorite gift was a antique glass square cake pedestal. It is so beautiful and makes an interesting table piece!
lisamcgriff (at) Hotmail (dot) com
These cards are beautiful, wow! Thank you for the chance.
My favourite gift was a rag doll “Cathy” that my Mom made for me when I was seven. Mom also sewed a wardrobe for her with included pinafores, a dress, flannel rose print nightie and bloomers.
I cannot think of one thing that was more special than another. I have trinkets my daughters bought me when they were small, home made gifts from my family, and now trinkets and baubles the grandsons bring me. They are all so precious.
I recieved A Beautiful Bible For My Very Own When I Was Twelve.
My favorite Christmas Gifts were the Barbie clothes that my Mom knit for me every year! They were awesome, and nobody else had them.
I love the handmade crocheted granny square afghan my mom made me several years ago.
One Christmas, 50 years ago, my sisters and I got a kitchen set that included a fridge, stove and sink, all separate pieces. I also got an ironing board and iron. I love to pretend iron then, now my ironing is mostly associated with quilting.
My husband- we were married on Twelfth Night (January 6)
I got a IPad from my husband two years ago it is by far the best thing I ever received.
The best gift I ever received for Christmas? A double circular diamond pendant my husband purchased after he moved to the great northwest and we were waiting to sell our home. It is a large one with a smaller one fit perfectly inside he had made. He sent it with a note that no matter how far apart we were this represented his taking care of me. Oh and he sent in via regular mail…I almost fainted!
My Most Memorable was of course my Cabbage Patch Kid! LOL But I think my favorite is a Cross my Husband bought me the first Christmas we were married (1994). I wear it almost every day.
I had been in the hospital for two months and was critically ill. It was back in the 70’s when everything had to be sterile and yet my boss/friend managed to convince the doctors and staff to let him bring in a real 3′ tree and decorate it to try and raise my spirits. The amazing thing was that he was deathly afraid of hospitals and had been known to pass out from fear if he had to go in one and yet he pushed past his fear to bring me a Christmas tree as a gift. Best Christmas gift ever.
The best Christmas gift I ever received was word that my baby daughter would be well and recover from her bronchial pneumonia. I am grateful every year that that Christmas was so happy. I now have three wonderful grandchildren and my daughter is healthy and happy.
Best Christmas gift yet is my DH telling me we can retire early! (on 3 months to go)
This has been a fun hop so far! Lots of inspiration!
It had to be a really good camera that my husband gave me for Christmas! I loved taking pictures of the kids and only had a very cheap camera. He sure surprised me!
A Saint Bernard puppy my husband brought home on Christmas Eve
My sewing machine. Thanks for the giveaway!
When I was 7 I received a bicycle for Christmas. I remember riding it all around the neighborhood that afternoon. The bike was a pretty shade of blue, my favorite color, and served me well for many, many years. — soparkaveataoldotcom
I’d have to say my Barbies which I got when I was 3 I think. They were under my tree and when I went to my grandmother’s house her tree was covered in Barbie clothes. I was in seventh heaven to say the least! I still have those Barbies as well as the clothes and my case.
the best Christmas gift ever was my kids gave me a pair of stud earrings in my birthstone. First ever birthstone. Then 6 yrs ago they gave us a kitten.
HELLO, the Precious Lord Jesus Christ!
Thanks for sharing!
Your artwork is so pretty. Gifts from Dad not Santa were the most special.
It has to be last years present to ourselves. It wasn’t really just a Christmas present but as we got it just before Christmas, it felt like it. We bought a new (to us) motor home, and we absolutely love it. It feels like Christmas every day we are out in it. Linda
As a child, my favorite present was a bike. I can’t really say as an adult as I have had so many great gifts. I’ve been blessed. Thanks for another chance to win. Your note cards are wonderful.
My best gift is my first great grandchild – a boy born a week ago! He was 3 weeks early but was a good weight and is healthy!
Another great giveaway, Jacquelynne!
I love your cards! Might have to get some for myself! Oops! Not suppose to buy myself anything maybe the grandsons teacher! Thank you! I am so glad I found your blog it is very inspirational!
I think my very favorite present was when I was very little and still believed in Santa Claus. I got up super early and found a stuff cat, that had a music box inside. I don’t remember the melody it played, but I loved it for years and years.
the best Christmas gift I ever got was one year my son and DIL came home for Christmas even though they said they would not be able to. It was a great surprise. It was also the first time it snowed on Christmas day since we have lived in NC
I got a gift card, and my son, then 4, helped me pick out the gift. He chose a small heart shaped locket, that when opened, read “I love you”. I wore it every day, and he would run up to me, give me a hug, and open the locket and turn it around so I could read it. Then close the locket, and run back to his play time. Although the chain broke, I still have the locket and the memory of those days.
Our daughter was born in December 25 years ago. Since she is our first born, this was the best gift ever.
My most precious Christmas gift was being told my cancer had gone and I would be able to enjoy watching my children grow up after being told I only had a 15% chance of survival. That was 26 years ago so not only have I enjoyed my children but now I have grandchildren to celebrate Christmas with. Thank you for the opportunity to enter this blog hop. Merry Christmas all
That is the best gift of all!
I remember being so excited when I received a doll’s house as I had been wanting one for a long time. I played with it for many years.
I feel I’ve been pretty lucky. Although we didn’t get tons of gifts each year, my parents gave us things that were right for us. I still have my wooden rocking horse that I received one year and remember loving it when I was a kid.
My favorite gift was an opal bracelet my mother bought me to replaced the one I thought I lost on my vacation. I actually found the original bracelet in the very back of my jewelry box after my mother had passed away.
I don’t have a favorite gift–too many to list. Maybe my HQ16, although I kind of picked that one out myself!
My beat Christmas present ever was a baby sister.
Over the years I have received lots of great Christmas gifts and it is hard to pick out just one as a favorite. As a kid it was my first bicycle but my favorite gift as an adult is a heart necklace with diamonds that my husband picked out for me. He doesn’t always know what to get for me so will consult with our daughter who always knows, but this particular year he came up with the idea all on his own. Even the kids thought it was pretty exciting and couldn’t wait for me to open it.
Here I am again…LOL. I feel like a stalker….but I guess it is a compliment that I really like your designs.
I don’t recall a favorite Christmas gift…but my most favorite Christmas memory was spending Christmas eve in Disney with all five of my children. I had tears in my eyes that night watching the Disney parade come down main street and then the fireworks…it was incredible.
Smiles,
Kelly
Smiles,

The best gift was my kitchen aid mixer.
When my daughter was 8 years old she secretly hand stitched a beautiful mug rug in her closet and presented it to me on Christmas day!! It is a treasure and I still get choked up reflecting on her gift of love!!
The sketch and watercolor work is beautiful. I can see where you get ideas for quilts. My best gift was my brand new 3-speed bike. I was a Senior in school. My sister got the new bikes and I got the hand-me-downs. I was so excited. Thanks for the giveaway.
It was when my sister and I received our first record player many years ago, lol.

My favorite Christmas gift was all of the hand made things my son has made me through the years. He has made me a card every year I can remember. With a special poem he made up. This year he is a junior in college majoring in English and continues to write the most beautiful poems and stories
The best present I ever received was a wooden cradle that my dad made for me when I was a little girl. I loved baby dolls.
My daughter was born on Dec 30 – a bit late for Christmas – but a great gift! Thanks for sharing your beautiful artwork!
Since being an adult, my favorite gift was a beautiful coat that I had been wanting for years and my husband surprised me with it!
I’m another one whose most memorable gift was my Barbie doll (which I still have) and a wardrobe for her sewn by my grandmother. She made the best doll clothes. I still have them too!
Those cards are too cute!
The best present I can remember getting as a child was my record player. I did have to share it with my brother, but since it was in my room, he rarely used it. It came with a series of children’s records that I think I wore out!

Beautiful cards! My best gift was the year my first grandchild was born on December 27th and my youngest daughter told us she was expecting as well.
My favorite gifts have to be all those special cards and ornaments my kids gave me when they were growing up.
Best gift, hard to say, first would be my 3 children and then my 2 grandchildren. Love all your note cards, thanks for the great blog hop and the giveaways.
We got our first bike to share when I was 7. crystalbluern at onlineok dot com
My favorite Christmas present from childhood…my horse Sugar! :)
3 days off. Our 4 cildren were between 3 and 10 at that time. And my sweatheart gave me 3 days off, I really enjoyed those lovely days and still remember them so well.
being with all my family every year. We are so blessed. Thanks so much for sharing
My best present ever was the year my Dad went to our Christmas Sunday School program. It meant the world to me that as tired as dad was, he went for me.
About 15 years ago, there was a big, VERY HEAVY present under the tree from my hubby. I was secretly angry as my sewing machine had recently died & I thought he bought me a new one without talking to me about what I wanted. Boy was I surprised on Christmas Day when it turned out to be a sauna heater! The next week he built me a sauna in our basement. Best gift EVER!!!
A positive pregnancy test!
Best Christmas gift ever, hmmm… airline tickets to come home for the holidays while I was away at school.
I would have to say the best Christmas gift I ever received was my first son born 11/21 (an early Christmas gift – he was due 12/8) and then I received the second best Christmas gift ever when my second son was born exactly 13 months later on 12/21. They are 19 and soon to be 18 now but still the best gifts ever. Thanks for the chance to enter.
Best christmas present was a little Boyd bear in orange overall from my new boyfriend(now my husband).
This is so much fun. I think your artwork is fabulous. My favorite Christmas present was given to me by my “little” brother just last year. It was a red, black and white quilt with musical notes and piano keys. He made it himself. Yes, he quilts and does a fantastic job!
I am blessed to spend Christmas with my family. They all hold very special memories.
My last favorite gift was from my BFF…she made me a felted purse, from an old wool sweater! It’s Awesome….and I loooove it!!! :)
14 years ago when my children were still at home they all pitched in and bought a pair of gold earrings. I’ve worn them almost everyday since. The only time I take them off is if my outfit calls for silver.
It was a ballerina doll (when I was probably about 7). She had a button on the top of her head that when you pulled it up, she was pirouette in circles. She also had real hair (not the plastic hair), so I loved putting it up in a bun like a “real” ballerina.
Funny story about that doll. It wasn’t on my Christmas List that year, but when my parents went shopping, my dad saw this doll and picked it up to look at it (not realizing it was the last one they had). A lady got so upset because he “got the last one”, she started hitting him with her umbrella. Needless to say, even though it wasn’t on my list…my dad bought it since he had already taken the punishment for it.
Thanks for the chance to win!!
Best Christmas gift: My son gave me a set of stationary stamped and a pen. He bought himself a similar set and promised that he would answer every handwritten letter I sent to him with a handwritten letter. We’ve kept it up for two years now. No electronic media can replace finding a letter in your mailbox from a loved one!
The best gift of all was not a material thing, but the time I was able to travel to spend Christmas with my mom and grandma with our first born son! It was the only Christmas my grandma got to spend with him.
To me it all about family & friends. I really appreciate the gifts, but my favorite part is spending time with family & friends. Thanks so much for the opportunity.
My best Christmas gift was the year I got my mother’s ring. Hubby had laced it onto ties for a new night gown and robe. It was such a surprise. Love your note cards. They are beautiful and you are so talented!
While we know Jesus probably wasn’t born in December, He and His saving grace would have to be the best Christmas gift for everyone. Everything else cannot compare. Thanks.
Every year my mom gave me a book to open on the night before Christmas. It isn’t any single book that is my best gift ever, but the tradition, and the implicit message of how much a treat a book is. Now I give books to my nieces and nephews every Christmas.
My very first ipod. I just loved it!
A sewing machine that my husband gave me the year I was pregnant with our son.
I got a small sewing machine that had a little crank handle so that I could sew while my mom was sewing
That would probably have to be my engagement ring … 18 years ago :)
