Guess what? There’s only 16 days until the first official day of Spring! For many of us, this was a long, cold, snowy winter and there is more anticipation for Spring than ever…. I am enjoying the longer days, for sure. So are the birds- I am hearing them chirp outside my window more and more. That is a good sign. And the bulbs are bursting forth from the cold ground- seems they can’t wait for Spring, either!

I’ve felt a little scattered in the studio this week, there’s a little bit of everything going on. My design director at Henry Glass Fabrics sent me a note saying that the new fabric line needs more….. KITTENS! So I spent one day sketching and painting cute little fuzzy orange kittens….. along with a big cup of tea on my desk, it made for quite an enjoyable work day….

So, look for kittens in my next fabric line…

Also, I received my sample fabric for my current fabric line, Cottage Charm, so I am diving into that pile! I have lots of ideas…. now, I just need some elves to help me out.

Finally, I am working on a Spring issue for The Art of Home e-magazine. It’s been several months since I released an issue. For those of you familiar with the e-magazine, you know that it is quite crammed with content- recipes, projects, etc. It takes me untold hours to put one together… but I really like doing it, and I hope you enjoy reading it!

I have been working on a project with this cheerful collection from my fabric stash:

And I visited the craft store to pick up these supplies. I have a couple of projects in mind for this stuff:
