There’s so much going on here at home and in the studio! We have a lot of birthdays in our family from the end of January to the beginning of March- it’s a good excuse to get together as often as possible and eat cake! Here is my adorable grand-niece, wearing her “gwasses.”
The weather has been quite chilly, and Alfie enjoys just hiding out in his bed, he likes to make a little “den” with a nice heavy quilt:
But it makes him pretty sleepy!
You know that the Block of the Month must be on its way when the place starts looking like this! This is about half of the fabric that we’ve got in stock right now… we are working on the sample, and soon we’ll start cutting the kits!
We’ll have TWO different kits to choose from this year! (Remember- the BOM patterns are free and the fabric kit is optional- choose any fabric you’d like!) We’ll be starting the sign-ups for the BOM soon, so make sure you are on our newsletter list (fill out the box below) so you’ll find out all about it when we start!

There’s lots of sewing going on! I’ve been working on lots of projects for The Art of Home Club. All of our projects are Club exclusive, meaning you can’t get them anywhere else! We only open to new members a few times per year, and our open enrollment is coming up very soon!! Get on our waiting list, and you’ll be eligible to receive some adorable free bonuses. For this project, I combined hand embroidery and free motion machine applique. I’m going to make this into a combination project book/needlebook:
Here is another Club design, done with wool applique:
We recently had a Club project with a pineapple theme. I was inspired by my dad, who passed away in January. I described him as a “pineapple,” rough on the outside, but sweet on the inside :) This project was really fun, because the pattern contained a number of different square blocks, and you can choose any of those block for the center of your pineapple.
This is a placemat I made with “redwork” embroidery, I used wool thread. I did the same design with machine applique as well. This is also a Club project.
So that’s what I’ve been up!! Hope you’re having a creative week!!
Your grand niece is adorable and your little Allie is so cute. Loved your post with all the pics! I am so happy to be a member of your club and I am thrilled with all the beautiful projects. So many projects to choose! The embroidered placemat and the pineapple quilt are calling me. Thank you!
Hi Jacquelynne, I love your blogs and pictures. You’ve got a lot of sense of humor and I like that. It always make me smile. Great patterns also. Thank you ?

The flower show was wonderful I took my mom there yesterday and we went over to the Reading Terminal. We loved all the Flowers and pick up a cherry cheesecake . My favorite is the minis and cactus
What beautiful fabric! Thanks
