Here is Part 2 of my Quilt Market photos. I took photos of some of my favorite booths at International Quilt Market, Fall 2013 in Houston. I can’t believe we have been back for 2 1/2 weeks!
It takes 2 days to set up the entire convention center. This is what the Convention Center looks like during set -up: boxes, crates, forklifts, etc in the aisles. It looks kind of like a disaster zone:
Modern quilts are still very popular.
Timeless Treasures had this fun display in their booth:
One of my favorite illustrators, Marjolein Bastin, now has a fabric line:
Another beautiful booth by Heather Bailey:
Some new lines by one of my favorite designers, Dena:
I took all of the photos with my iPhone. Even though it’s a pain to carry around, I think I will bring my good camera next times- I think it will be worth it to get much photos :)
Wow – all very beautiful designs – I would get lost there looking at everything…..
That’s why you have to spend a couple of days there- just one won’t do!!
Oh my gosh….so thankful for you showing these pictures!!
The photos (especially with my phone!) just don’t do it justice! It can be a bit overwhelming! You really need to walk through a few times to absorb everything.
Thanks for sharing your pictures. For those of us who never get to go — we enjoy them so much.:-)
You are welcome, Linda! As I mentioned- next time I may just lug my good camera around so I can get some better shots.
Thanks for sharing. As I can’t go because I live in the UK it’s great to see the photos.
Actually there is a show in the UK that I’d love to get to sometime
