The latest issue of Quiltmaker’s Quilts from 100 Blocks Spring 2015 just came out, and guess who’s in it? This issue has projects using blocks which have appeared in various Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks issues. You know about the 100 Blocks issues, right? Each issue has 100 different blocks, featuring all kinds of techniques like traditional piecing, paper piecing, applique, embroidery, and more.
My Grandma’s Favorite Block, was recently featured in Volume 10:
I combined the pieced and appliqued Grandma’s Favorite block with 2 other pieced star blocks and used my Cottage Charm fabric for Henry Glass Fabrics to make this quilt:
The issue is available right now! Look for it at your favorite local quilt shop (LQS) or book store now. I believe Volume 10 of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks is sold out (it was really popular!), but you may still be able to find it somewhere if you look around.
Speaking of magazines, remember a few weeks ago I showed you my project in the Australian Quilter’s Companion magazine? Well, the owner of my LQS, Needles and Pins in Mullica Hill, NJ, was able to order it for her shop, so it is available there if you happen to be in the area. You can also ask for it at your own LQS.
Today, I continue work on the next Block of the Month! I spent the last couple of days writing out the patterns, and I’m close to done. I’ve finished one sample (just sent it out to the long-arm quilter yesterday), and soon I’ll be starting another in blue and gray. It’s so much fun to do these quilts in totally different fabrics!
And don’t forget about the TWO awesome contests I’m running right now. Win a $100 Moda fabric kit, click here. And, send me photos of your current projects/WIP (works in progress) to win a prize and be featured in the next issue of my emagazine- click here!
I have signed up numerous times to get the Sew Sweet BOM following your instructions and have never received how to download the 4 blocks and the bonus block and the instructions on finishing the quilt.
Can I get any help?
Linnie, I’ve sent you an email.
Woo hoo! Congratulations.

Congratulations! Your quilt is gorgeous! I love basket blocks.
Thanks Susan! The colors in the quilt are actually much prettier than the magazine photo. I love basket blocks too- traditional yet cheerful :)
