I am really pleased to be able to finally announce the release of a wonderful project I am involved in, it’s a new quilt book from Martingale called A Flair for Fabric. It was over a year and a half ago that I was contacted by Linda Lum DeBono from Henry Glass Fabrics to ask if I would be interested in contributing to a book which would benefit the Red Cross- this was just after Hurricane Sandy had devastated the East Coast. I am happy to say that the book will be released on November 4, with all of the designers’ profits going to the Red Cross.
I got a sample copy of the book, and the projects are beautiful! My quilt, called Delightful, is on the cover (blue and orange one on the right.) You can see more photos from the book here. Next month, Martingale will be hosting a blog hop, so that should be lots of fun. Here is a book description:

Right now, I am busy getting ready to go to Quilt Market this weekend. A bunch of the Henry Glass designers will be on hand for demos and book signings. If you will be attending Market, here is the schedule of events:
One of the events will involve an on-camera interview- Yikes! I’m pretty nervous about that!
OK, I’m off to do more prepping and packing!
What a great looking book! Have a great time at Market!!
I think it’s a great book, Sandie! I would make just about every project in there.
Excellent review. Sounds like a wonderful new book which I’m now looking forward to checking out. Have fun at Market.

Market is going to be a lot of fun- it always is! I’m looking forward to meeting up with a lot of people that I only get to see once or twice a year.
I love the “It’s All About Kids” quilt and the “Flower Pot” quilts!! I love the pinks in them! So pretty!!
the little bird pincushion is SO cute!! Thank you SO much!!
I love your quote below and so agree. I guess the thing I most want to do, is a landscape quilt that integrates applique. I am fairly busy with the dolls I give to VERY sic7k kids (209 since 2007 (please see webpage above) They are 2 foot tall. free including postage
I am a 74 year old retired nurse and writer, crafter and sewer. I am nowhere near as talented as all of you at Quiltmakers, but for my age and all, am hanging in there.
