Today, we are releasing the third pattern for the Small and Sweet Mini Quilt Club, and it’s called Flitter! This is the latest 26″ square quilt in the series:
(This pattern can also be purchased individually, please click here.)
I love this pattern- it’s perfect for Spring and Summer, and the applique is quick and easy.
My long-arm quilter, Danny, added a simple design to the butterfly wings, and did a loop-y pattern around the appliques:
I have this little quilt on my kitchen table right now, and I just love it! It is certainly signalling the beginning of Spring!
The palette that I chose for this is pink, coral, and blue. Any pastels or cheery fabrics would look really great with this pattern- honestly, I don’t think you could go wrong!
Danny also made her own really pretty version in red, black and gray, and she used a buttonhole stitch for the applique:
You could even go with an “Americana” colorway with this, if that’s more your style:
Hint- if you leave off the leaf appliques, it’s still super cute!!!
For this club, I am the designer, and my good friend Michele from Mishka’s Playground is the hostess! It’s not too late to sign up!
