Hey friends! I have got a HUGE order of Moda fabric sitting here, waiting to be cut up into gorgeous kits for the next free Block of the Month! However, that means I have got to make a little room… So I am having a sale through Monday March 30. The Peaceful Pastimes quilt fabric kit (includes binding and pattern) is on sale for the super price of $55- the regular price is $70.
This is a fun and cheerful quilt, great for your family/sitting room, porch or bedroom. It would also be a very cute baby or toddler quilt. And the pattern includes my method for making perfect flying geese units and LOTS of diagrams- So it’s a great beginner or intermediate project. I also have a variety of fabric backing kits available.
In other news, our bathroom renovation is finally done! Thank goodness. It took longer than expected (which, I guess, is to be expected) but it is done. We kept the sink and bathtub, because they are vintage. The toilet, however, was no longer functional (stamped 1922 under the lid! Can you imagine??). We replaced the vinyl flooring with those cute little hexie tiles that I love, replaced all the tile with a combination of wainscoting and subway tile, and repainted. There were a couple of mishaps along the way, like when the pipe leaked and water started coming through the dining room ceiling below, stuff like that. But have I mentioned that it’s DONE?!?! Hallelujah!
Remember the Shamrock Shake quilt tutorial I posted a couple of weeks ago? I’ve been working on making it in blue and green. I am trying to decide whether to sew the blocks into a square table topper, or maybe sewing them into a row for a runner. What do you think?
Have a great weekend- and don’t forget the fabulous sale, which ends on Monday!
