The Dandy Drive Sew Along is coming…

Hello, Friends! Just wanted to let you know that I’ll be participating in the Dandy Drive Sew Along, hosted by Pat Sloan and Sarah J. Maxwell, and I hope you’ll join us! This will be a free sew along with free pattern. The quilt consists of simple piecing and it’s just perfect for spring and summer! Here is a preview of what it will look like using different fabrics (the finished size of the quilt will be 75 x 90″):

These are the fabrics that I chose- I almost always (like, 99.9% of the time) use light colored backgrounds in my quilts. But I was looking at my pretty pastel fabrics, and I thought they’d really “pop” against a black background, so I chose this little black dot print (Moda Essential Dots) to use. I think it’s going to be very pretty:

You will be able to get all the information (including fabric requirements and the free patterns) over on Sarah’s website. This quilt was designed by Sarah J. Maxwell (please direct all questions regarding the pattern to Sarah! Thanks.)

Here is the schedule:

  • Week 1- April 7, 2017 (9 patch)
  • Week 2- April 14, 2017 (flower)
  • Week 3- April 21, 2017 (stem and leaf)
  • Week 4- April 28, 2017 (butterfly)
  • Week 5- May 5, 2017 (assemble)
  • Week 6- May 12, 2017 (Giveaway!!!)

Be Sure to join all of the other bloggers to see what everyone is making!!!

Hi. So many comments… As far as your little dog, I have two of them and they mean the world to me so I can relate to your wanting to do anything to add to his quality of life. Like the doggie daycare. Secondly, your pics of the flower show are so pretty! Third, I too find inspiration everywhere. Even the tile on my bathroom floor gives me inspiration. How crazy is that???? And last of all, I can’t wait to see your flower quilt. Your stuff is always so cute. From your embroidery to your quilts and to your web design. All are so pretty and inspiring.
